I've been silent the past few days, but i've still been productive.
I hung the rear suspension on the Wendell Wallace car, as it was ready to go. While i've been waiting for the paint for the Moyer frame to arrive, and the reference photos on the Mueller car, i've been concentrating on the Wallace car since the frame was already painted and ready to go.
I pulled out the cockpit that was in it originally (for the Steve Francis car), and replaced it with a black version to match Wendell's scheme.
The rear end is probably the most complex piece on the whole replica, the number of parts required to build one is pretty extreme. It's really nice when it all comes together.
What i'm really trying to do with the Wallace car, is use different blacks (flat, gloss, satin) as well as some different silvers to give everything depth and visual appeal. I don't want everything to be a black blob where all the parts blend together. I'll do this on the Bloomquist cars as well.
