Update on Everson Dirt Cars.

Postby imrdirtcars on Thu Jun 18, 2009 4:05 pm

I was over at the shop the other day, and saw the brand new track components.

Everything looks really nice. The new track is 4'x8'.. which also means the sheet of copper had to be that big.

Dave will be spending the next month or so getting the new track together.. 1400 individual magnets have to be put into place and the copper laminated to the base.. along with the electronics that will allow lane changes, and multiple cars to run independently.. on the same lane even!.

In speaking with Dave, I think the Everson Dirt Cars setup will be more suited for places that purchase the track (like slotcar raceways), and racers come on race nights with their individual cars to race against others.

The cost and size of the track will likely keep it just out of reach of your average home racer. The cost of the cars, although, will be very affordable (like most large scale slot cars).

I've had the joy of racing them on the test track many times, and can't describe how addicting they are.. simply put.. slot cars pale in comparison.

I would love to have one of the tracks, not so much as slot car track but to display my diecast. Anyone know who can build one? When will these cars come out and what scale are they? Thanks!

Hey Guys! I have been racing Slot cars for years and just stumbled on to this. I was wondering if someone could give me a status on it. I live in the southeast on the NC SC line. Dirt racing here is a way of life and ive been around it since i was a kid. Most folks call me an addict! I travel to many tracks but there is plenty right here at home. I can leave the house and in 45 mins in different directions be at 8 different race tracks! I have been racing slot cars as i said but am VERY EXCITED about the realizim these cars have. I am interested in getting a track here and becomeing a dealer for these cars. Are there in any more video clips or info on the web anywhere or does anyone have access to them.

This is something that i have shown to several people and they are ALL on board in starting a league here and are waiting for what i find out. This maybe the most exciting thing in scale racing history. To be able to race, competatively, safely, rain or shine, and that a kid can do with on allowance. Bring'em out guys NC is ready to sling some Mud!

THE ONLY WAY TO RACE!! SLIDEWAYZ!!!!!!!

Hello! My name is Dave Everson of (EVERSON DIRT CARS) This Race track is my life's work! among other intrests in my life..(I performed all the instruments for the music on the video you watched on you tube to give you an idea of the extent of my attention to detail) The mini electric dirt track racing is the top of my priority! I have spent countless hours developing and thousands of dollars making this a reality! I feel strongly this type of dirt racing has a huge market! I will work the hard to fill that need! This is a new twist on slot car racing, by incorporating 3 link rear suspensions on H.O. scale cars! (closer to 1:50 scale.....) I am using magnetic steering systems in the front and shocks and springs in the back...and it all pivots around a tube over the drive shaft...which causes the car to wheely up!since the old video I have built a new much larger track! had custom tires and wheels made...and we are getting some outstanding results! I am saying the left front tire is packing the full 5' straight about 1/4" high!!!!! and the car is in a nice drift.....I would like to exchange more ideas with you slidewayz folks
